The Auditory Modeling Toolbox

The Auditory Modeling Toolbox (AMT) is a Matlab toolbox intended to serve as a common ground for auditory modeling in Matlab/Octave.

The AMT is developed by several auditory research groups.

The AMT is Free software, released under the GNU General Public License (GPLv3).

The AMT provides a complete model chain for the auditory hearing system, ranging from HRTFs to model the outer ear, different cochlear filter and inner hair cell models, adaptation loops, binaural processing, up to speech intelligibility. The models are backed-up by publications. In addition to the models, human data from experiments and scripts to reproduce figures from publications are included.

A general description of the AMT can be found here.

The models and functions all come with a help messages and references in the M-files. You can read the documentation included in the M-files online.

We further provide a short tutorial how to start with the toolbox.

The AMT is always in development. The current state of the models and model stages is described here.
